Not To Sound Ungrateful But...

It’s 77 degrees in my house, all my doors and windows are open, I live on Long Island and it’s January 6th. My thermometer on my deck says 68 degrees and I hear it might be going to 70 in Central Park today. The front page of our local paper said that the cherry blossom trees in the Brooklyn Botanical Garden are blooming. What’s the deal? I’m sweatin’ my ass off here!

I don’t want to sound ungrateful because this is saving me a fortune on heating bills. Though, as you’ve read my, neighbor just filled my oil tank. I repaid her this week by putting up a shed which the Helper took credit for, obviously.

I’m positive once my blood thins out; it’ll drop below freezing…this is some sort of sick joke. I like the change of seasons. If I wanted 70 degree temperatures in January I’d move south of Jersey.

I have to go now and break out some shorts and t-shirts. I have to say though; this is definitely helping with the kid patrol. No kooked up cabin fever here! Anyone need a used snow shovel…cheap?

You said a four letter word *gasp*

Snow!!!!!

I'm happy not having some. It can snow a few times in February and be done. What I could use MORE of is SUNSHINE! Western PA is known for it's 'partly cloudy' days. Far too many.

Your right I did say the "S" word...I'm so sorry. I don't think it counts if it's being used as an adjective, though. I could be wrong. Great now we're going to get "socked" with 18"...I'm so stupid!

snow....what's snow? We've never had that here in Phoenix. Although, when I went to Santa Fe last week - gorgeous snow - until we tried to drive somewhere. That one day was enough snow to last me a year!

I think this weather is kinda creepy myself. Its winter, people! Where is the cold? Not that I'm complaining, because I totally love this weather, but...it kinda freaks me out...its just not normal.

I am with Karly on this one.... I live in Georgia and it is not normal for it to be warmer in NYC than it is here in the South. I drive a Big Truck and it sucks to have to put a coat on just to come home, especially when I wore shorts all week in Jersey. Something BAD is coming!!

I for one don't mind no boots, no hats, no gloves, and being able to wear my leather coat and high heeled mules out with my jeans. I could have this all year round with snow on Christmas eve and Christmas day.

Oh.... Working mom. You'd be a veteran in the snow after one year in the right city. LOL. I lived for 4 years in Erie PA and you don't see the black top of the road until it thaws in late May. The city doesn't plow down that far. I was brilliant and had a rear wheel drive Thunderbird. Anywone familiar with snow would tell you that is simply crazy. But I learned how to drive in snow.
